ACORN founder Wade Rathke and his labor union group doing ObamaCare enrollments in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas. Too bad US Republican Party wanted this to happen as much as the radical left

October 3, 2013

“At least 54 individuals who either worked for Acorn and its affiliates, or who were connected to Acorn, have been convicted of voter fraud. Their surviving brethren, after a mere 20 hours of online training, will become as expert on the 1,000-page ObamaCare bill as their predecessors were on the nation’s voting laws.”

“Those icons of voter fraud have been tasked and paid to guide an unwilling public through the ObamaCare enrollment process — while getting access to confidential information on thousands of people seeking health insurance.

Somehow it does not surprise us that among the conductors on the train wreck known as ObamaCare will be leftist agitators from President Obama’s beloved Acorn, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. They’ll get up to $48 an hour as “navigators” to lead us through the dead-end ObamaCare maze.

As Mathew Vadum reports on the American Spectator blog, United Labor Unions (ULU) Local 100 in New Orleans, which is run by Acorn founder Wade Rathke, announced on its Facebook page that it’s gearing up “to do mass enrollment and help navigate people into the marketplaces in Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas under the Affordable Care Act!”

“Local 100’s role as a Navigator, suggest(s) the program is less about health care and more about building a new progressive infrastructure,” says longtime Acorn-watcher Mike Flynn of Breitbart.com.

As one health expert with close ties to HHS told Breitbart News, the navigator program “will be a jobs program for unemployable Obama For America campaign volunteers and Acorn remnants.”

Rathke, who managed the trick of getting his Acorn-controlled Local 100 kicked out of the radical Service Employees International Union (SEIU), was fired by Acorn’s national board in 2008 when it was discovered that he’d covered up the theft from the group’s coffers of some $948,000 by his brother Dale in 1999 and 2000.

By that time Acorn itself, hardly a paragon of honesty and ethics, was on its last legs as a liberal and government-sanctioned community group.

Undercover videos shot in 2009 by James O’Keefe III and Hannah Giles showed Acorn employees giving helpful advice on how to lie to the government, commit tax fraud and trick banks into providing loans for brothels. That led Congress to defund the group. The original Acorn disintegrated and filed for bankruptcy in 2010.

At least 54 individuals who either worked for Acorn and its affiliates, or who were connected to Acorn, have been convicted of voter fraud. Their surviving brethren, after a mere 20 hours of online training, will become as expert on the 1,000-page ObamaCare bill as their predecessors were on the nation’s voting laws.

In 1995, a young lawyer and community organizer himself sued the state of Illinois on behalf of Acorn to force implementation of the federal motor voter law and to bar the state from pruning its voter rolls of dead and nonexistent voters.

The young lawyer was Barack Obama. Acorn later invited Obama to train its staff.

When Obama served on the board of the Woods Fund for Chicago with Weather Underground terrorist William Ayers, the Woods Fund frequently gave Acorn grants to fund its agenda and voter registration activities. Now with their political soul mate in the White House, the remnants of Acorn and similar leftist groups can count on federal tax dollars.

As Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, someone who is quite familiar with Acorn’s radical and often-illegal antics, observes: These retooled community organizers “will have access to sensitive personal information, including Social Security numbers and tax information,” and HHS isn’t even planning on running background checks before sending them out into the field.

“Besides the obvious identity theft concerns, this is a frightening development in light of the political activities and invasion of privacy, which the IRS and others have engaged in during the Obama presidency,” Jindal writes….

Our guess would be...the ObamaCare navigators become a field army for the community organizing of America.” via Free Republic
